Rules

  1. To apply, you need to provide us with basic information about yourself and the character you intend to play. For an idea of what you need to give us, take a look at our application form.
  2. If you are accepted, we will create your username on the forum. You will receive two e-mails to the e-mail address you provide when you apply. One will be from the mod e-mail, letting you know that you have been accepted, the other will be from the message board itself, letting you know your logon and password. If you are not accepted, we will e-mail you to let you know. You will never be ignored. If you do not hear from us within 48 hours, please e-mail us back. Be sure to check your spam folder before you e-mail us.
  3. A celebrity is a musician, actor, model, or other notable figure who is respected and noteworthy enough within their career to appear on one of the following: Wikipedia, IMDB, The Fashion Spot, iTunes. They must be most well-known for their own career and not the career of a spouse/significant other, family member, or friend—though musicians may be more known for their work as a band. Myspace celebrities and others who are famous simply because of the internet will not be accepted. Reality television stars, wrestlers, and lesser-known athletes are also not accepted. The moderators of this community reserve the right to make a judgment about the acceptability of the character you apply to play.
  4. Realism is very important in this game. We consider ourselves to be an elite and true-to-life roleplay. We feel that good celebrity roleplay involves being capable of incorporating real life events into your fiction storyline. Marriages and divorces within the game should be depicted cautiously as real-life events must continue to be represented. If your celebrity gets married, your celebrity must acknowledge the marriage in the game. If the celebrity is pregnant, your celebrity must get pregnant in the game. Along the same vein, the following is a list of things that are simply not allowed here:
    - fake pregnancies
    - unrealistic depictions of drug abuse, alcoholism, etc.
    - fake or unconfirmed major illnesses
  5. When you are accepted, you are required to post an introduction in the introduction sub-forum within 72 hours of your being accepted. If you have any questions or are confused by the forum, you may e-mail (or U2U Sexy Mod) and we will help you. If you do not contact us and you have not posted an introduction in the specified time frame, you will be deleted from the forums with no holding period for your character.
  6. Once you have introduced yourself, you must update at least once a month. A proper update is two + paragraphs of personal writing. It may not be an article about your character, music/lyrics, complaints about difficulty thinking of something to update with, excuses about why you could not update, out of character information, or anything else that you did not write yourself. We would rather see two mid-size thought out paragraphs about you being kicked in the ass by an ass when you were five than a long paragraph about why you haven’t been able to write lately. You should be able to write something—whether or not it’s the truth about your character. Nothing says that your character has to be writing something real. They just have to be writing.
  7. We will do removals of those characters who fail to update at least once every three weeks. If you fail to update, your character will be held for 72 hours before being fully deleted. During that time, other people may apply to override you. We will choose the best writer, taking into account any information we have about your activity level prior to removal. If you were an active person who simply forgot to post, we will not let you be overridden. However, understand that out priority is to recruit the best and most interactive players possible.
  8. Hiatus may be requested in two-week increments by U2U, e-mail, or in the appropriate thread in the mod forum. Longer hiatuses may be granted on a case-by-case basis.
  9. In order to play in this game, you must be over the legal age of majority in your country. Minors should not participate in this roleplay as it may contain content that is inappropriate for their age. If you are a parent and you fear your child may be participating in the game, we would first suggest that you speak to them about your concern. However, if there is anything that you feel we can do to help you, please feel free to contact the moderators.
